2008 Road Paving Project Information
The roads that we are tentatively scheduling for improvements are:
Old well, Morvale, Flagler, Flafair, Canal, Murray, Westfield, Highfield, and Cider Press Road.
We will be doing the micro-pave process again this year.
Last year was the first time we used this type of resurfacing and we are very pleased with the results.
Last year we spent $152,145.00 on 67,321 square yards of road surface.
This year we have 65,340 square yards scheduled.
The Township consists of over 525,000 square yards of road surface.
The price is based on the cost of oil at the time.
A start date has not been determined yet, but should start sometime in late July to early August.
With the nice weather finally returning, please be careful while driving in and around work areas.
The Public Works Department will b e out on the roads preparing them for the paving project, replacing pipes, and roadside cutting.
Please slow down and proceed with caution when you see work signs, work vehicles, and workers out there.
We are here to help you, please help us be safe.
Steet sweeping has begun in Williams Township.
Please be patient.
Sweeping is usually done on rainy days to help keep the dust from flying and coating houses.
One of our sweepers has broken down and in the process of being repaired.
We will get to all the roads as time permits.
Thank you for your patience.
